Welcome to the Child and Family Lab Website!

In our work, we try to understand how parents and other important adults support children’s healthy development, particularly under stress. We are interested in how adults understand children’s behavior and emotions, as well as how children develop the ability to regulate their behaviors and emotions in the context of relationships. We integrate physiological, narrative, and behavioral measurement to study these processes.

Our lab space is located at University Square in uptown New Orleans, LA. To learn more about what we do, feel free to contact Dr. Gray at sgray4@tulane.edu or (504)862-3318.

Dr. Gray is accepting graduate students.

Dr. Gray is currently accepting accepting applications for Undergraduate Research Assistants. Undergraduate students interested in working with Dr. Gray should complete the lab application and send to Dr. Gray (sgray4@tulane.edu) and our Lab Manager, Anna Wilson (awilson10@tulane.edu) by December 6th. Any questions can be directed to Anna at awilson10@tulane.edu. The Gray Lab values anti-racist practices at the core of our work and we welcome and invite diverse and underrepresented students including first generation college students, students of color and LGBTQIA+ applicants to join the lab.
